Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does tattoo removal work?
A: The laser concentrates tremendous energy in the large ink clumps trapped in the skin. The laser simply makes the particles of ink smaller and smaller and liberates the ink from the cells so your immune system can carry away the tiny ink droplets. This takes about 6 weeks.

Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: There are so many factors that determine how many treatments you'll need.  These include: whether the tattoo was done by an amateur or a professional; what type of ink was used; how good your immune system is at clearing the ink; and finally, the color of the tattoo.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: At your first consultation, which is free, you'll get a price quote PER TREATMENT for treating the tattoo you would like treated. Our pricing works out to be about $50 or less per square inch; the minimum treatment charge is $75.00. Certain colors may cost more because they take more time. We cannot reliably predict the total number of treatments you'll need but the typical number of treatments to remove a tattoo is from 5 to 15 treatments.

Q: Does insurance pay for tattoo removal?
A: No.  Laser tattoo removal is considered a cosmetic procedure. As such, it is not covered by insurance and you are responsible for paying for your treatment at the time of your visit with cash or credit card. Your employer might be willing to pay a portion. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Q: Do you give a military discount?
A: Yes.  We are proud to help our military.  If your armed forces recruiter gives you a signed card or letter, we'll give you an even deeper discount than our usual military discount.  Please schedule your free consultation and we will discuss the military discount at your first visit.
